Move through the area on foot and it's all concrete and mowed weeds. Concrete, mowed weeds. Not as obvious when moving quickly by car. And almost impossible to ignore when moving slowly by foot.
Tonight I wanted to revisit some of the same areas as last night. My goal was to simply dial in settings on my camera to utilize the built-in JPEG engine.
After deciding that the iPhone was not enough, not necessarily because it's not capable of getting the shots I'm after, because it absolutely is, but because the process is not pleasant. It does not ... inspire.
Though convenient, the editing process isn't fun either. And neither is the photo management.
Yes, there are good solutions to these issues, but it's all these things combined that led me to switching back to a dedicated camera.
Last night was one of my first outings with the Fuji X-T4 + 23mm f/2 combo, and I forgot just how much the iPhone is doing in processing to get the final images. It's an extremely useful tool, especially if your goal is just to take a snapshot.
But, that's not what I'm after.
